The Portuguese Cultural Association of Hong Kong

We employ only native, certified Portuguese teachers to lead our classes. Every instructor is carefully vetted to ensure top-notch teaching standards.

Regular Cultural Events: We organize and sponsor Portuguese cultural activities on a regular basis. These events allow students and the public to experience Portuguese and Brazilian culture first-hand, complementing our language courses.
Optimal Learning Environment: Class sizes are strictly limited to 6 students maximum. This small-group setting ensures each student receives personal attention and ample opportunity to participate.
Structured Content: We use textbooks and materials that follow the official Portuguese as a Foreign Language syllabus (aligned with internationally recognized standards). This means your Portuguese learning can be officially certified and is transferable to exams worldwide.
Frequent New Classes: New Portuguese classes begin every month, so you never have to wait long to join a course that fits your schedule and level.

Our Students

The Portuguese Cultural Association of Hong Kong has already attracted hundreds of students of all ages, levels, and backgrounds. From preschoolers to retirees, absolute beginners to advanced speakers – our doors are open to everyone.

To guarantee high-quality lessons and the best learning outcomes, our classes are kept very small (3–6 students per group) or offered as one-on-one lessons for those who prefer private tutoring.

Our students come from all walks of life, and our teaching methodology is based on a well-structured program using official textbooks for learning Portuguese as a foreign language. In class, students practice all four key skills needed to master a language: reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

We believe in a balanced approach – you will develop communication skills while also understanding grammar and cultural context.

We conduct progress follow up at appropriate intervals, and students receive individualized feedback throughout their learning journey. By creating a comprehensive and motivating learning experience, we help each student find joy in our courses and a sense of accomplishment as they progress. We look forward to sharing this language journey with more people, so that every learner can have fun and success in learning Portuguese with us.

Our Teachers

Our team are native Portuguese teachers, all highly qualified and passionate about teaching. Each instructor on our team holds at least a bachelor’s or master’s degree (many in education or linguistics), and has a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience. We are so confident in our teachers’ excellence that we make this promise: if you are ever dissatisfied with your assigned teacher, we guarantee a free replacement class and will happily assist you in switching to another class or instructor that better suits your needs.
